Mugithi artist Samuel Muchoki, aka Samidoh, has left a part of his fan base concerned after sharing a cryptic post about mortal death.
In the post, which has since been deleted, the artist talks about how he would like to be remembered when he leaves this earth.
He goes on to note that he has had a good wrap-up of his life and expressed he’d like to be remembered as “a heart that burned with a flame.”
“In case I die unexpectedly, or before my time, I want you to know that I’ve lived a full and good life. Allah gave me an opportunity to travel the world, see nature at its best, and meet incredible humans I was fortunate enough to share a moment with.
Let the world remember my name not just as a combination of letters but a heart that burned with a flame. “If I die young, remember the dreams we chased together, dreams of a better life not only for ourselves but for generations to come.
“If you ever miss me, look at the stars, I will be there shining brightly, reminding you to live your life with passion, chase your dreams, and cherish the people around you.
Also, remember to tell my mama I did my best,”.
The mysterious post had sparked intrigue among his followers, prompting him to delete it from his page without any explanation
He had posted hours after wishing a Happy Birthday to his estranged wife, Edday Nderitu.
“Happy Birthday to an incredible woman and the amazing mother of our kids.
Your strength, resilience, and commitment to our family never go unnoticed.
Grateful for the journey we’ve walked together and everything you hold down behind the scenes. Here’s to more years of growth, laughter, and keeping things steady. Enjoy your day. Happy Birthday, EddayNderitu,” Samidoh added.
Samidoh “I am still a Police Officer”
Samidoh confirmed that he is still actively serving as a police officer when speaking at a meeting held in Karen on Friday, May 23, 2025, which was sponsored by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
As he introduced himself, he joked, “I am a musician and I am also a police officer under the National Police Service, and normally I don’t speak a lot under my boss.”
His statement confirms his dual job in the music industry and law enforcement, putting an end to persistent rumors that he was leaving the service.
